Kieran is a data analyst with around 10 years of experience in data analytics and science, government consulting, and data collection. He graduated from American University with a Master of Science degree with a focus on terrorism and national security policy. After finishing at AU, Kieran joined the University of Maryland’s National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Reponses to Terrorism (START) as research assistant on the Global Terrorism Database (GTD) project. In 2018, he went into government consulting with Booz Allen, ERPi, and Tuvli, serving clients at DHS, USAF, DVA, and DoS. His interests are in providing data analytical approaches for informing decision-making and early warning predictive models for anticipating and mitigating potential shocks. Kieran is originally from southwest Virginia and currently resides in Beltsville, MD. He enjoys the Marvel Cinematic Universe and other “nerdy” content, rooting for Philadelphia sports teams (GO BIRDS!), listening to Celtic/Irish folk and punk music, and spending quality time with his wife Erin and rabbit Danvers.
